The regional Duma is ready to develop business

Public hearings about the project «The regional budget for the year 2009» were held in Murmansk regional Duma.During the hearings the following items were discussed. With the forecast of social and economic development of Murmansk region for the year 2009 and some main forecast characteristics for the year 2010-2011 it is planned that in the year 2009 the growth of Gross Regional Product’s volume to the level of the year 2007 will be 104.5%. The main attention in accordance with realization of May Presidential Edict, it is planned to pay attention to the development of small and medium business, tourism, traditional economic industries. It was announced that population capacity for work continues to decrease, accompanying with the deficit of labor. At the same time there is a redundancy of professionals without work experience.

In accordance with the state budget project for the following year it is planned: revenue – 33 billion 333 million 223.1 thousand rubles, expenses – 35 billion 43 million 488.3 thousand rubles, deficit – 1 billion 710 million 265.2 thousand rubles. Current economic situation was taken into consideration during budget calculation. The reduction of uncompensated receipts from federal budget is planned. Expenses in principal directions of social policy will not be decreased. Expenses on social payments will be index-linked. Wage increase on 10% of public sector workers in the year 2009 was also considered. Banks credits will be attracted for the amortization of deficit.

According to Victor Aleshin, chairman of budget, finance and taxes committee in regional Duma, during the public hearings the conception of the project was received, questions were asked and concrete answers were given.
