Nowadays in the context of near-border cooperation between Murmansk region and Finland 10 projects are carried out, as Vadim Ulanov, coordinator of company’s («Finnbarets») projects said to MBNEWS. A number of projects is realized by Russian and Finnish businessmen in the tourism industry. These are tourist companies in Kola and Kirovsk. Some contracts were signed between Finnish side and huge enterprises of our region.At the same time small and medium business is not ready to join near-border cooperation. The main reasons are: shortage of working capital, lack of contacts abroad and personnel’s work load.
During the business trip to the Country of thousand lakes Igor Osadchiy, executive general manager of « North-West Consulting » and Senior Editor of informational website MBNEWS.ru, showed a presentation of regional portal and nets of professionals PRO2.ru. The trip of Vadim Ulanov and Igor Osadchiy was also devoted to discussion of business ideas, their realization in Lapland and attraction businessmen to Russian – Finnish projects. For these purposes meeting with representatives of Regional agency in the development of business in Finnish town Oulu was organized. In this meting Russian businessmen and Esa Rippa, Head of Finnish agency, Jarmo Lauronen, consultant, Mikko Karva, Director of economic development division, took part.
As Russian participants said Finns are most interested in website MBNEWS.ru and its English version.
Representatives of Oulu told about their city and showed website of Regional development business agency. They said in detail how first-time entrepreneurs (start-uppers) can get help from the agency. It is very easy: apply to consultants and they give you the exact steps from writing the business-plan to what taxes you should pay.
Participants discussed all opportunities in developing by Murmansk businessmen companies in Finland. The Administration of Oulu and development business agency are ready to help. There is an opportunity to have tax benefits and get a financing for start-uppers.
