One of the wind farms was not approved

On the scheduled meeting of interdepartmental commission about the distribution of productive forces in Murmansk region 2 declarations about the building of 2 wind farms were examined.According to the Ministry of Economic Development, one was presented by Management Company OOO «Russian wind» from Saint-Petersburg. Due to the Company’s declaration «Russian wind» is going to place wind generators with total capacity of 100 megawatt on the coast of Barents Sea in the district of Pechanga, to the north-west from settlement Liinahamari. According to Nikolay Korotaev, Senior Principal Engineer of OOO «Russian wind», the approximate price of this wind farm is 110 million Euros. Commission approved this declaration and recommended Company to take expert comments into consideration in future.

Concerning the declaration about the distribution of wind farm in the district of Lodeinoe and Teriberka, which was presented by Irina Spekhman, chief executive officer of Netherlands Company «ProjectInvest B.V», commission recommended to study questions about distribution and some other positions more carefully and present the declaration to reconsideration.
