5-year installment for Murmansk entrepreneurs

The meeting of the Economic Policy and Business Operations Commission took place in the Deputy Council of the City of Murmansk on October 23, 2008. As Oksana Gurova, Press Secretary of the City Council, informed, deputies have made a recommendation to the Council to conform municipal act to the part of the Federal Law connected with the right of small and medium business to buy rented premises.This priority redemption right can be presently used by renters who meet renting conditions and their contracts have been conducted for at least 3 years since the law was introduced. Current law operates until July 2010.

Credit installments on the rented premises purchase can be made within 5 years. The sum of percentage is 1/3 of the CB RF (Central Bank of the Russian Federation) refunding interest rate for annual installment.

According to Andrey Sysoev, Member of the City Council, entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to plan their business within 5 years. Auctions have formerly existed and entrepreneurs had to close their businesses due to the lack of money to buy rented premises. All municipal premises have to be bought until 2009. The questionnaire survey is now being carried out among entrepreneurs and 95% of them are ready to buy rented premises.
