Airline company Wideroe stops Murmansk-Kirkenes flights

As barentsobserver informs, Norwegian company Wideroe closes the Kirkenes-Murmansk flight due to the lack of passengers. According to the timetable, airplane flies to Kirkenes and back three times a week whereas most travelers use own cars or scheduled buses.The distance between Murmansk and Kirkenes is approximately 230 km and high-quality roads allow to cover it in a quite short period of time.

Norwegian company Wideroe introduced this flight last summer and the number of passengers has significantly decreased since this time. Specialists consider this number will not increase in the future. Richard Konsgteien, representative of the Wideroe airline company, explained the flight is unprofitable and the decision to close it until December 1 was made.
