Aquaculture industry will be provided with subsidies

The Government of the Murmansk region aims to provide 30 million rubles for the development of the coastal fishing industry of the region. This intention is included in the published draft law “On the regional budget 2009”. According to forecasts, regional budget revenues from the usage of aquatic bioresources will be more than 130 million rubles.

Subsidies will be also provided for the enterprises of aquaculture industry. The main aim is to provide compensation of the credit rates expenses, only if funds were spent on the purchasing of brood fish, technical equipment, construction, reconstruction or modernization of aqua complexes (farms). The Government of the Murmansk region plans to spend more than 2 million rubles on these aims and 30 million rubles on the target programme “The development of the coastal fishing industry of the Murmansk region” in 2009.
