Financial subsidies to the fishing companies

The Government of the Murmansk region decided to increase the size of subsidies for compensation of the credit rates expenses to enterprises of the fish processing sector. The decision was made according to the plan of the regional target programme for the development of the fish sector of the Murmansk region. The size of subsidies for the interest rate payments did not exceed a half of the payment for the first two years. The new decision of the Government considerably increases this sum of money. Today’s financial subsidy is 75% of the interest rate payments. Financial support of the fish processing enterprises is tightly targeted. The interest rate is subsidized only if funds were spent on the purchase of raw materials for the goods production.

As Stanislav Nikanorov, Deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma and Managing Director of OAO “Murmansk Gubernsky Fleet”, noticed, such measures give significant support to the companies of the fishing industry, help them to invest money in the development, expand its product range and keep reasonable prices.
