“New Eurasia” in Murmansk

Conference “Russia-Norway: active cooperation partnership” will be held in Murmansk within the framework of common initiative “The development of Barents region through the partnership of the North-West of Russia and Norway” on October 16-18, 2008. The initiative is realized by the “New Eurasia” Foundation, the Norwegian Barents Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.

Representatives of Russian and Norwegian non-profit organizations occupied in the spheres of public and socio-economic development of the North-West Russia will participate in the conference. Plenary and themes group meeting will be held in the frames of the conference.

As the Managing Director of OOO “Resource centre” Valentina Kurnikova informed, conference will introduce comparative analysis of the development tendencies of the third sector in Russia and Norway. It will also give an opportunity to discuss further cooperation and plan common partnership projects.
