As the press service of the Government of the Murmansk region informs, «Guide to the cross-border co-operation between North-West and Byelorussia» is preparing to publish.The initiator of this publication was The Information office of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Saint-Petersburg in the frame of the project «Baltic Euroregional Network-East» (BEN-East).
The main aim of the project is to strengthen the structure of cross-border cooperation particularly in Euroregions of Russian Federation and Byelorussia in order to build partnership relations with national and international organizations.
Pavel Petrov, the head of Petrozavodsk contact centre of the Nordic Council of Ministers, informs that the guide will include information about 6 regions: the Murmansk, the Kaliningrad, the Leningrad, the Pskov regions, Karelia and Byelorussia. Edition will contain statistical, analytic information, problems of cross-border cooperation, legislative questions.
Pavel Petrov noticed that the planning number of copies is 500, which will be divided between regions, participants of the project. The number of pages is about 200, the price of the project including information collection and printing is approximately 10000 euro. The guide is designed for wide audience and will be ready in December, 2008.
