600 property units and their owners

The business meeting of the Murmansk Committee of property relations took place on September 26, 2008. It was conducted by Valentin Zisser, first deputy of the head of the administration. The main topic of the meeting was the realization of federal and regional laws about the purchase of municipal premises rented by Murmansk small and medium businesses.According to the last calculations, there are approximately 600 property units in regional centre. One part of the entrepreneurs do not aim to buy their premises, while others can hardly do it, although regional law guarantee instalment during 5 years.

As the press-centre of the City Administration informs, Vladimir Shtyrkhunov, chairman of the small and medium businesses Coordination Council, offered to carry out a questionnaire among entrepreneurs in order to clarify the situation. Questions included in the questionnaire are connected with the aim to buy rented premises and general awareness about federal law.

Questionnaires will be distributed by personal delivery and placement on Murmansk Internet sites. The terms of completion are rather tough, as the realization of the law can not be postponed.

Moreover, applications from entrepreneurs will not be studied in the nearest future, because the process of  changing the ownership includes a lot of work and can be conditionally divided into three parts. At the end of 2008 mechanism of privatization is being developed, during 2009 the basic mass of property units will be bought and by the first part of 2010 entrepreneurs will lose their prerogative right on purchase of rented premises.
